What I bought this week: Tata Harper Cream and Masks

Item(s): Tata Harper Calming Crème and Multi-Masking Set

Reason:

… well, I bought Tata Harper’s Multi-Masking set because I’ve tried her masks before and thought they were just fine, but I am my mother’s daughter and really wanted to hit the minimum for the “free” gift with purchase, lol.

Side note: Did your mum used to do that at the Clinique or Estée Lauder booths at the mall? Mine did and they’re all still hoarded in her bathroom, unused… sometimes she’d go twice over the minimum and ask for two saying one was for her daughter since she bought a Superbalm, haha.

The mask set is admittedly adorable and while I find the brush cute, it absorbs too much product, but at least the instructions for which mask to use is useful!

The masks are fine, it’s just like my skin doesn’t go crazy for Tata Harper’s masks anymore though…

Anyways, I really went over to the Tata Harper site for her new Calming Crème.

It was a bid to find a dupe for Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer moisturizer.

That Kiehl’s product goes down with their mascara in the “Things They Never Should Have Discontinued” list. It was a real rescue for my face when the weather was in the throws of allergy season.

Tata Harper’s Calming Crème is rich, yet light, and it lightly takes away redness.

It isn’t “bad” by any means, but there’s something about it that isn’t quite “it”… especially for the price of $130/jar.

Like, it’s the type of moisturizer where you still wakeup with dry patches on your face — even in the summer with a humidifier on.

I’ll keep searching for a dupe for Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer and in the meantime, take refuge in my “free” full-size gift with purchase.
